SIG Meeting 2021 (Mobility Programme)

10th March 2021: A meeting among the members of ATU-Net SIG Mobility Programme was organised and chaired by Professor Hiroyuki Ishizaki, Visiting Professor from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan. The meeting was participated by 16 attendees from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), and Cebu Technological University (CTU). During the meeting, Professor Ishizaki presented his drafted proposal on Student Mobility Programme 2021 comprising Culture-Based Programme, SDG-Based Programme and Global Project Based Learning. Subject matters included in the discussion were on the course outline of the programme, the suggested time frame to conduct the programme and the composition of participants among member institutions. Consequently, there were some amendments to be made regarding the programme tentative in order to avoid conflict of interest between member institutions. The next meeting will be conducted on the 24th of March 2021 to further discuss and finalize the proposal before presenting it to the steering committee.

SIG Meeting 2021 (Marketing and Membership)

2nd March 2021: ATU-Net SIG Marketing and Membership meeting was hosted and chaired by the Chairperson, Associate Professor Dr Ahmad Faisal Mohamad Ayob, Director of International Office Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). The meeting was participated by ten attendees from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Universitas Riau (UNRI) and Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR). The two-hour discussion concentrated on strategising future directions of member institutions, in particular the approaches needed in promoting ATU-Net to its potential observers aside from maintaining the partnerships between the current members. The Chairman suggested that every ATU-Net member has to nominate one potential observer for the next board meeting in order to boost membership strength of ATU-Net. The benefits and privileges of joining ATU-Net were also addressed to ensure the well-being of the member institutions is taken care of.
